starlingYou can use the website and send an enquiry without agreeing to analytics. There are no advertising trackers in the current website implementation.
1. Necessary service storage
Our hosting and sign-in services may use cookies or similar mechanisms needed for security, authentication and access to the client portal. ChatGPT/OpenAI provides sign-in; its own privacy and cookie information also applies to that service.
2. Your analytics choice
We use browser local storage, rather than an advertising cookie, to remember whether you allowed or declined first-party analytics. The keys are starling-analytics-choice and starling-analytics-choice-expires. They contain your choice and its expiry time, normally six months. This preference storage is needed to remember the choice you make.
3. Optional analytics session storage
Only after you allow analytics, starling-analytics-session holds a random identifier in browser session storage. It relates to a browser-tab session, not a verified person. Events can record the page path, broad device category, referring domain and selected actions such as viewing a portfolio project, clicking an enquiry link or downloading a brief. Owner visits are excluded; browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep optional analytics off.
Our analytics event database does not record names, emails, IP addresses, full referring URLs or form and portal content. Events are kept on a rolling 90-day basis and older events are removed when new events are recorded. Separate hosting and authentication services may process technical information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service.
4. Change your choice
Choosing “Keep analytics off” stops future optional analytics and clears the analytics session identifier. You can also clear site storage or manage cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary authentication storage may prevent portal sign-in. Withdrawing consent does not automatically delete analytics events already lawfully recorded; see our Privacy Policy for your rights.
5. Fonts and other services
The website loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which involves requests to that service and disclosure of connection information. This is separate from our optional analytics.
